Spirit & Sport Dinner

An evening of fun for a better tomorrow in Honduras

The Carpenteros’ main fundraising event is the Spirit and Sport Christian Celebrity Dinner and Auction, which takes place on the last Thursday of September, at Carmen’s Banquet Centre, 1520 Stonechurch Road, on Hamilton’s east mountain.

This dinner and auction event began in 2001, and past celebrity guests have included hockey legend Paul Henderson, former Leaf’s captain Darryl Sittler, former Toronto Blue Jays stars Jesse Barfield and Tony Fernandez, CFL star Mike ‘Pinball’ Clemons, plus dozens of other accomplished Christian athletes.

The evening features a delicious full course meal, silent and live auctions, plenty of time to mingle with the celebrity guests, and a presentation about the past and upcoming work of The Carpenteros in Latin America.  Proceeds from this event help with many aspects of community development, but the main emphasis is on creating economic opportunities through micro-finance.

For tickets for information, to donate items for the live or silent auctions, or to discuss sponsorship opportunities at this very popular event, please call 905-689-5491 or send email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
