NEXT TRIP SCHEDULED TO DEPART NOV. 23
Last November's trip iwas cancelled due to the political situation in Honduras, and an advisory from CRWRC and the Canadian and American governments warning against any unnecessary travel to Honduras. There was some initial discussion of sending a team to Honduras in April 2010 but most participants indicated that November would be a much better time for them to travel.
Although the trip in April was postponed until November, the community will be receiving funding to complete the promised floors and the latrines. There was also a great need for a safe, used truck in Honduras for the CRWRC and just this past month a 2008 Mazda 4 wheel pickup truck was purchased for $16,000 thanks to a private donor. This has been such a blessing to them. Thank you
A Carpenteros Service trip is now planned for November 23 - December 3th or 4th. We can accommodate approx 12 to 14 people. Please reply to

soon as this trip will be full. (6 already booked). We will be working in a community in south-west Honduras, close to the Nicaragua border, building latrines, pilas and concrete floors. This a very poor and spread out community with a CRC church and a school. This is also an area of Honduras where just this year we have expanded our funding for community mico-credit cooperatives. More details will be provided soon. We will be stopping by Tigre Island to see how the community is progressing and to meet old friends.
The CRWRC is looking for used wheelchairs and we have been advised, then rather to bring them, a donation would be easier as they can be bought in Teguc at a reasonable price.
